A little bit of blocking for this next week?

Well for once, yes a little bit. But I want to stress that A LITTLE BIT.

NAO is near neutral to slightly negative right now (Top graphic is observed and bottom graphic is forecast):




AO is Negative right now:


PNA is positive right now (Helping to bring some ridging out west along with some troughing in the east with the NAO/AO in the current alignments):


So looks like some cooler weather for us here in Central Indiana. Perhaps one last gasp of winter?

GFS shows the NAO/AO influence with a large Anticyclone over Hudson Bay and the PNA signature ridging is seen all the way into western Canada:




Looking at the long range, not a whole lot of snow chances though. Gotta happen soon because it's simply going to run out of time.
